"Dere" bulmacası dikdörtgen bir ızgaradan oluşur. Bazı kesişimlerde sayılar bulunan daireler vardır. Sayılar, çevresindeki dört hücreden kaçının siyah olması gerektiğini gösterir. Tüm beyaz hücreler birbirine bağlı olmalıdır.
