Marvin the robot-paranoid (eng. Marvin the Paranoid Android) is a character from the series of comic novels by British writer Douglas Adams (eng. Douglas No?l Adams, 11.III.1952 - 11.V.2001), known by the generic name "Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy".

Marvin - the-Board robot space ship Heart of Gold. Suffering from severe forms of depression, as he himself explains, because of the fact that "his brain is the size of the whole planet, but he is rarely allowed to use" and no task could take his boundless intellect even minimally.
